Yesterday was the Third Annual Ladies of Distinction: Iconic Women of Williamson event! 🌸

Each year, YOUR Williamson has the privilege of celebrating a group of extraordinary women whose lives reflect the very best of our community. These are women who give generously of their time, talent and hearts; often behind the scenes, rarely asking for recognition. They are leaders, mentors, caregivers, creatives, advocates, visionaries - and their impact is undeniable.

Your Pup's Time to Shine 🦴

Another Tails of Franklin book is in the works! The first edition was released by @mistywestebbephotography in February and starred many of your favorite furry friends in Williamson County.

After raising over $40,500 for animals in need through the first book’s efforts, Misty Westebbe Photography is working on the second edition now and taking reservations for photo shoots.

The bell has officially been rung, marking the beginning of the 85th Annual @tnsteeplechase weekend. We took some time to learn more from behind-the-scenes with Mark George and Mark McMillan of Leiper’s Fork Steeplechasers. They even introduced us to two of their horses we’ll be seeing in tomorrow’s race: Vae Patron and James Du Berlais.

The "Rite of Spring" 🏆

Steeplechase is here in Middle Tennessee! Ladies, grab your fascinators while the gentlemen grab their seersucker. Saturday, May 9th, is the 85th Anniversary of the Iroquois Steeplechase, a world-class horse race benefiting Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and other local community non-profits.

Back in 1977, Dwight Hall took home the trophy and has served as the race chair since 2008.

Jockeys & Juleps 🏇

This past weekend, the @downtownfranklinrotaryclub hosted a successful Jockeys & Juleps. There were hats, horses and high hopes while watching the livestream of the 152nd Kentucky Derby.

After Golden Tempo took home the trophy, YOUR Williamson and YOUR Community Media announced the winners of the Dapper at the Derby Contest: a best-dressed man, woman and couple - plus an honorary mention in red, white and blue.

Before Alex Hostetler ever stood on a roof, he was standing inside their gutted fixer-upper in Houston with no drywall, no flooring and no one to call for help.

Taught by his own two hands, Alex and his wife, Courtney, took the lessons learned from this project to found Red Rover Roofing in 2025.

Churchill Downs has unveiled its third annual @kentuckyderby Style Guide to inspire fans as they plan their race day looks ahead of the 152nd Run for the Roses™, taking place on May 2nd. In October of 2025, Margot Shaw, founder and editor-in-chief of @flowermagazine, held the publication’s fifth showhouse project in Nashville. This home showcased twenty-three designers throughout twenty-three rooms. From walls adorned in pink-and-caramel stripes to fabulous floral arrangements in every room, the house was nothing short of magnificent. However, the community behind the home was the real showstopper.

Country Roads USA Comes to Nashville 🎶

Running weekly Thursday through Saturday, @countryroadsnash has begun its live theatrical residency at the legendary CabaRay Showroom in Nashville. Written and directed by @deansams of @lonestarofficial, the multi-platinum country band behind hits like “Amazed” and “My Front Porch Looking In,” the eleven-person production delivers an immersive, chronological journey through the legendary artists who laid the foundation of country music from 1928 to 2000.
